I earned my medical degree from Uppsala University in Sweden, where I was actively engaged in global health through numerous clinical rotations in Asian countries. After completing my medical studies, I practiced in Finland as a physician across various psychiatric settings, including an outpatient clinic, a psychotic disorders unit, and a psychiatric emergency department.
I pursued my residency training in adult psychiatry at George Washington University where I served as the outpatient chief resident and was honored with the Residency Clinician Award in recognition of my clinical skills. In addition to general outpatient and inpatient psychiatry, I gained experience in several psychiatric subspecialties, including perinatal mental health, psycho-oncology, and immigrant and refugee mental health. Alongside my rigorous psychiatric training, I engaged in studies of relational psychoanalysis at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis in Washington, DC.
Currently, in my private practice, I aim to apply my rich multicultural and multilingual expertise to support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
